Welcome to Arthropod Central
Arthropods are part of the largest animal group in the world, as they make up about 85% of all known species. Though the number of known arthropod species is close to one million, the actual number of arthropod species is assumed to be much close to 10 million by many zoologists. The reason for the large number of arthropods might be due to their small size enabling them to be able to hide easier. This would lead to them not going extinct as easily which would explain why so many species are still alive.
